There is a report that one in four Trinity Guardrails in the state of Florida are located in South Florida. Florida's Department of Transportation conducted an inventory of all the possibly defective Trinity Guardrails are located in South Florida. There are 450 Trinity Guardrails in South Florida (Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River and Broward counties). These are the controversial guardrails which design changed from 5 inches to 4 inches. whistleblower, Josh Harman, is calling for a full Trinity Guardrail Recall after he won his lawsuit with Trinity. There have also been other lawsuits all over the US over these defective guardrails by victims who suffered injuries and death. Florida has already halted new installations of Trinity Guardrails until more testing is conducted. This new test locating the Trinity Guardrails in Florida was requested by the Federal Highway Administration. Florida's Department of Transportation spent a month searching over 3,000 miles of guardrails to find out where the Trinity Guardrails were located in South Florida. Trinity has denied that the guardrails are unsafe. There are new Trinity safety crash tests going on in Texas.
