Richmond VDOT to Retest Trinity Guardrails

The Virginia Department of Transportation has decided to retest Trinity Guardrails after Trinity reported "passed" safety tests in Texas. The Trinity Guardrail crash tests will be conducted in September. Marshall Herman, VDOT assistant division administrator said the details of the Trinity Crash tests are still be ironed out and more information will be provided in the coming weeks. This is signfigant as Trinity Guardrail lawsuits increased to at least 8 this week, when the family of a man filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Trinity. When reached for comment, Trinity stated that these new crash test are not needed.

There are currently no states that are installing new Trinity Guardrails after this controversy.
